8th European Championship U-19 Football Under Round Elite
With so many football events taking place around the year's UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship an exciting event not to be missed.With qualifying rounds already played from October 2, 2008 to November 27, 2008, the stage is set for the Elite round starting fromSunday, March 1, 2009 and runs until Sunday, May 31, 2009. Teams qualifying rounds fromthe were divided into 7 groups of 4 teams each, making 28 participants competing hard for the title last.
Matches for Group 1 will be held in Serbia on 12, 14 and May 17, 2009. The four teams playing in this group include Serbia, which will play as a football team of the host against Hungary, Finland and Austria. Serbia has shown consistent performance in the qualifying rounds, scoring 3, 5 and 4 in 3 games are played. Hungary does not fared well in a match against San Marino and scored 6 points, and the score 1 and 0 in the other 2. Finland and Austria are almost equal standing with Finland score 2, 3 and 0 in the last three matches, and Austria, scoring 2, 3 and 1 football. There is a chance probability that the host will be the top scorer of the group and qualify for the finals - the group stages.
Group 2 games will take place in Slovenia, which will also be the host of this group and play against Russia, Holland and Belarus. The matches will take place on the 4th, 6th and June 9, 2009. So far, the most difficult of the candidates in this group are the Netherlands, followed by Slovenia and Russia. Belarus is the lowest score a team in this group.
Portugal will host three group and will play against Turkey, Greece and Denmark, 23, 25 and May 28, 2009. Turkey is ahead of all the four football clubs in this group, followed by Portugal and then by Greece and Denmark.
Switzerland, Ireland and Sweden will play in Group 4, 5, 7 and 10 June 2009 with the host team in Belgium. Sweden and Belgium are the strongest teams in this group, with Ireland having the lowest score. The match between the host and Sweden will certainly be one of the most exciting.
France soccer team host five group games will play on 18, 20 and May 23, 2009 against Romania, Norway and Latvia. France is the top scorer in this group, with a total of 9 points in the qualifying rounds. Romania continues to lead the group with Norway and Latvia, with the lowest scores.
Group 6 results hosted in England, 27 and 29 May 1 June 2009. The other three teams participating in the group in Scotland, Slovakia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Although Scotland will lead this group the highest score in England has shown a solid performance in the qualifying rounds. Slovakia and Bosnia-Herzegovina is a lower score than the visiting team and Scotland, then it is likely that they do not play the next round.
The final of the football league will play their group matches in Estonia on 21, 23 and May 26, 2009. The other participating teams for these matches, including Germany, Spain and Czech Republic.
Elite round will determine the winning team to play in the tournament final - the group stage, to be held from July 21 to July 27 2009th The semi-finals of this annual event will be held July 30, 2009 with the final on Sunday August 2, 2009
