The art of baseball: Have faith in yourself
Kathy Simcox
It all started with a click of a mouse and a credit card number. The next thing I knew I was sitting in a Broadway theater in mid-town Manhattan, see my first game and having the time of my life. When my eyes enjoyed this show, I told myself that I could do it too?
Now, when I'm on an empty stage in their hometown, three years later, anticipating the closing weeks of the show, I can not help but smile. In my mind I can still see the frightened young woman driving a white-knuckle, with eyes as blue as his car carried a new adventure. During the trip, I kept asking myself why I do this? What purpose can travel alone, 600 kilometers from the city of millions of people means that potentially the largest Poobah of the universe? It is my mind has finally left the world of the senses? What's on? Let me tell you what I found.
I discovered my heart was a treasure chest full of dreams, dreams I did not even know was there. I found opportunities hard to look forward to be realized, they seemed to be shouting, "It is time that you finally showed. Now let us out of here "My state of mind before the trip would have pushed these dreams forever ignored by fear. Now, after this adventure, I found myself forced to hear more of these voices, pushing me towards new adventures and new dreams. my mind is no longer living voice of fear. Instead, might think about these opportunities to vote and attack them with a clear mind.
In this area there is the beauty of art. It can be any kind of art. The art for me is simply a manifestation of mind, and sharing that expression of the world. You do not need to be a talented person to express themselves with success. To be successful in something, I think you are at least willing to try, regardless of the outcome. Guilt is not one who sees the chance, grab them, not his / her best with them and does not reach the desired result. In fact, the problem is one that sees the possibility, even to identify the hidden potential, but does nothing with them in fear. Fear paralyzes the mind and finally win the heart. The desire, even the ability to open themselves and the beauty of art to reveal itself, was forgotten.
Think of it this way: Imagine a baseball game. You are pitcher for the winning team and the opposing team is at the MTD. The bottom of the ninth, your team is ahead three tracks, and there are three opponents on the base, just want to score. They are guilt, regret and anger. The batter following the steps of the plate: it is fear. You throw the ball representing every dream in your heart. First, the wind and then increase it. Fear connect with your dreams with a shattering crack, and you are left alone, helpless, as you see the ball, your dreams fly over the fence, never to be realized. Fear and his friends run around the bases. When you watch the last man, fear of touching the plate at home, you realize that your time is up, and you and your dreams have lost the battle. You will never have the chance to play this game again.
Following your heart means following your dreams, to every ounce of God has given us the strength and faith in something invisible to the naked eye, which might even seem silly to those outside the faith to try , stupid to them with fear. But when the eyes of the soul to look beyond the fear and the eye of faith, dreams can come true. Open your heart for the artist within and the expression of the soul will follow. Then you'll really score.
