The first big domino fell in the count this week for the MLB trade deadline. The Cardinals, White Sox and Blue Jays have reached an agreement in three teams, with Colby Rasmus OF, 3B Mark Teahen and lifters go to Toronto SP Edwin Jackson, Corey Patterson and a collection of relievers on the way to St. Louis, Jason Frasor and pitchers Zach Stewart and on the way to Chicago. Let us push the baseball ramiification real key - the Cardinals have given a very talented 24-year outfielder for, well, not much - and focus on sports fantasy impact.
Tiles: The Rasmus is almost certain to start in center field, and I bet a great "FEP, Tony La Russa" second half of the AL-onlyowners should empty their budgets for FAAB Rasmus. Rajai Davis is the logical choice to lose playing time, and when Brett Lawrie is promoted, Edwin Encarnacion is a virtual lock to do the same. The end result should be a Rasmus-Eric-Thames outfielders Jose Bautista, Travis Snider and Lawrie DHing to third base. Snider and / or couldtake Thames hit the little reading time. Teahen seems like a nice fantasy, worthless versatilebackup.
Jays also apparently acquired relievers Brian Save, Trevers Miller, and PJ Walters, in this process. Zzz ....
Cardinals: Now that La Russa won his confrontation with The Rasmus, the cards have a Matt Holliday Jon-Jay-outfielders Lance Berkman, with Patterson to provide an end around the handle of the speed and defense. Jay-stable now playing time makes it worth the league combined. Jackson is likely to replace Kyle McClellan in the Cardinals rotation, and given good lately. Jackson power, the arsenal of ground ball and pitching coach / genius Dave Duncan is a match made in heaven, and I will try to get E-Jax in mixed leagues.
Cardinals now have some of Octavio Dotel newsetup men and Marc Rzepczynski, but only as deep worthyour NL only leagues.
White Sox: With Jackson gone, Philip Humber now to the rotation after a temporary ban of the bullpen. Brent Morel has a greater hold on the job from third base in the wake of the departure Teahen. Frasor join body configuration, while Stewart can not compete for a rotation slot in 2012. He is a guy from back-of-the-rotation, however.
The trades happen, we'll be back in the deposition of more imagination. We will give more tips and news about fantasy baseball, like Everybody Loves to play.
