Tennis Mind Game: Play Tennis Confidence List

What it really means to believe in yourself? When you believe in yourself, have full confidence in your physical capabilities and the ability to take pictures in tennis. My definition of confidence in the courts is, as we strongly believe your ability to make a stroke on success, or win the game. Do not confuse Believe in yourself (self esteem) and self-esteem. Self-esteem is how you see yourself and how to assess your knowledge of self (as you see), also called self-respect.
The confidence comes from a basis of success in previous games, practice, preparation, and a strong mental game of tennis. For example, a tennis begins play little or no confidence in his ability to do a tennis serve. But with practice it becomes competent in the ability to serve. With the skill or competence of confidence even more control. You can also earn the trust of the belief that you are physically gifted, which reflects the definition of confidence. When to work with my personal coaching students I discuss two types or levels of confidence. The first is a general belief in your ability and wide as a tennis player - the feeling that you can win or do well. The second type of trust is the specific belief in your ability to nail an extra cost of success or hitting a service winner. Both general and specific trust is equally important and they influence each other.
During my 20 years coaching on the mental game, I have come to know that many athletes "practice self-confidence" that comes from working hard in practice to develop their skills. However, these same athletes are not always transfer that confidence to the practice of games to play. They lack what I call "the confidence of the tournament" for many reasons. Tournament game or confidence is critical to your success in games.
It seems irrational that you can get a high level of confidence in their practice, but can not transfer the trust in tournaments. In most cases, this problem is that the mental game on the road and how you train, which I will discuss in another article. One of my readers this question to the psychology of tennis: "What is the checklist for the confidence before a difficult game?" I have no simple answer to this question, as each player responds differently to a tough match. However, I will give you the four main strategies that each player must apply:
1. Make sure the expectations of the parking lot. I believe that the expectations (demands you put your own game) are detrimental to the confidence high. You want to believe and practice your skills, but without the need of how the game should go.
2. Review the reasons why you deserve to play before each game. You may incur to their level, experience or talent level.
Prepare five third positive self-talk statements you can use the points when you need a renewed confidence. These statements can be as simple as "I deserve to play well today."
4. Cut the last-minute doubts. Doubt is the opposite of trust. When you engage in the doubt and let feaster your mind, your confidence will suffer. It recognizes no doubt before the game, and you have your own practice, set aside the doubts.
