To win a gold medal at the Paralympic Games is quite challenging. Winning two consecutive Paralympics is even more difficult. But this is exactly what Patrick Anderson and his team is the Canadian wheelchair basketball, flogging in Australia, 70-53 Sept. 28 in the finals to capture their second gold in as many Paralympics. Considered one of the best players in the world by his peers and the media, Anderson helped the Canadian Austrailians completely dominated from start to finish. Canada, winners of eight straight, led 21-14 after the first quarter, then took a 37-26 lead in the locker room at halftime and never looked back. Anderson, named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, poured 13 points and 13 rebounds in the final. He also showed his skills sharp through dishing out seven.
