I know I have written about the favorites to win the crown for both men and women divisions. But I also have to balance this and give my opinion on the giant killers, the black horse, or what might be called the name of a tennis player unexpected to be on top. These people are very gifted athletes, but they have not had the chance to win a major championship. Who knows?
Maybe this year will be his year to break the mold and then add their names to the list of tennis superstars. That said, some of them may already be there, but because of the inconsistency, he saw his game and therefore suffer from poor performance. Others might be people who are on the verge of victory that can change your career in tennis altogether. The names do not really follow the seedings have been released for the tournament. Rather, it is a random name to remind me what can possibly happen. I'll start with the first ladies.
Elena Dementieva First - It is much better over the years. I first noticed during all Russian tennis French Open final between her and Anastasia Myskina. Dementieva was only 22 years. But what strikes weird for me was the quality of tennis is played. The two women have been so nervous in the game they have made mistakes after mistakes. Myskina turned out to be the best player since they control his nerves and eventually won the tennis match. I thought Dementieva was lucky finalists at a time and could not see so well. But after winning the gold in women's singles at the Olympics, beating Serena Williams in the semifinals and Dinara Safina in the final, I always thought it was an accident. But she beat Serena again in the Sydney International tennis semi-finals and has again Safina in the final battle that led me to believe that we Dementieva played really see how far it goes in the first Grand Slam of year.
Ana Ivanovic second-compared to previous years where she ranked first, just after Justine Henin announced her retirement before the start of the French Open, where Ivanovic has had a mediocre year behind. I had high hopes that his winning the French Open title to give him the confidence to win Wimbledon, too. It did not happen. And now I think maybe it was people's expectations for her to be number one added to the pressure. Of course, there is no point if it was hit by a series of injuries that put her out of action. Now she is not number one any longer and have less media exposure (unless it is taken on a date with compatriot Fernando Verdasco tennis player), maybe she should do well here, as she was beaten finalist Maria Sharapova last year.
3. The younger sister, Dinara Safina, Marat seems to have more mental strength than he. If there is a player that I am happy that finally proves that he has too much it takes to be successful, your it. It is surprising to learn that in 23 years, was a veteran of the circuit of women for years. And for years, has always been known as "the younger sister of Marat." In interviews, it is often said that when she entered the courtyard, he wants to do well and create your own behalf, not to live in the shadow of his brother, who is a previous winner of the Australia Open. Maybe today, Marat is now known as "Dinara's older brother."
