Football is a game between two teams of 11 players, each trying to net more goals in the opposite goal post. Players are not allowed to use their hands except the goalkeeper, which can prevent a goal with his hands. So, each team tries to prevent the other from scoring while trying to score. A standard match consists of two sessions of 45 minutes each, separated by a pause of 15 minutes is called half time. The extra time and penalty kicks are allowed by the judge under special circumstances to decide a tie game.

It takes place every four years, and approximately 190 national teams compete to qualify to play the final. Involve the final 34 teams. Football was part of the Summer Olympics since 1900, except for the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. It is currently playing a level of less than 23 years, so it is less prestigious than the World Cup. A women's soccer tournament was also launched for the 1996 Olympic Games.
Major international tournaments are the World Cup, European Championship, Champions League, Copa America, African Cup of Nations CAF Champions League, Asia Cup, AFC Champions League, CONCACAF championship cups and the Oceania Nations Cup.
